The solar plexus chakra is the third energy center of the human body. Associated with the yellow color, this chakra is located above the navel in the body. This chakra is the residence of self-confidence and power. Traits such as personality, freedom, ego and identity, choice and authenticity are characterized by the chakra. The solar plexus chakra popularly known as Manipura chakra pulls fresh prana and manages this life energy. The need for good health and grounded success ignites from the light of Manipura chakra.
The digestive system and the neighbouring organs along with the gut’s emotional brain are governed by the bright yellow chakra. An aligned solar plexus chakra means that the person has a sense of purpose and their confidence is self-motivated. They are attracted to feelings of love and happiness. The heat of the third chakra aids in smooth digestion and efficient absorption of nutrients and minerals.
This chakra can arise negative reactions such as anger and aggression highlighting blockage in and around the chakra. Emotionally a person whose chakra is imbalanced can feel low self-esteem, unable to make decisions, and cannot have control over themselves. Also, negative emotions such as low trust, rise in doubt, unhealthy attachments can engulf such a person.
